As an N.I.C.E.I.C. approved contractor established for over 20 years, employing fully qualified time served tradesmen, we have the experience, skills and knowledge to undertake almost all aspects of Electrical Installation, Maintenance, Inspection, Testing and servicing for the Industrial, Commercial and Domestic consumers in the Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Ripon, Wetherby, Boroughbridge and North Yorkshire areas.

We are on the approved contractors list for many government bodies and currently carry out installation and maintenance work for the Ministry of Defence, Local and County Councils, Housing Associations, Schools and Hospitals etc. We are on the roll of approved companies registered with "Constructionline" a body set up and endorsed by the D.T.I. to make the pre-qualification process easy for other companies and procurement managers to check our credentials and financial standing prior to purchasing our services.

For the Domestic consumer who frequently has little or no knowledge of electricity and is somtimes "frightened" by it, we offer the same level of service and professionalism as we do for our major clients, you will have peace of mind knowing that all our workmanship and materials are guaranteed and backed up by £10m public liability insurance, also being registered with the N.I.C.E.I.C. domestic installer scheme for part-P compliance of the building regulations, we pay an additional insurance premium for every job carried out under the scheme and you also have the benefit of being able to direct any grievance with a governing body in the event that you are not satisfied with the work.

J J Long Electrical Contractors Ltd are not the cheapest electricians in Harrogate but we pride ourselves on being one of the best, we will not cut corners or compromise on materials or safety for the sake of profit, our reputation for quality workmanship and service is second to none and since it is my name on the letterheads, I intend it to remain so.
